# overads > overads is an AI marketing agent for small teams. Describe a marketing job once; it drafts the posts, reports and ad recommendations, publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Mastodon and Pinterest after you approve, and starts at $19 a month. Its line: "Your marketing runs itself. You just approve." Each job becomes a workflow that runs on schedule, writes in the brand's voice, and waits for a person's approval before anything goes out. It is the marketing-only alternative to general AI agents such as OpenAI Dots and Grok Bot, which come inside $30 to $100 plans (Grok Bot with SuperGrok, OpenAI Dots with ChatGPT Pro, as published in October 2026). Threads, YouTube and TikTok are built and awaiting platform review. It reads Meta, Google, X and Snapchat ad accounts read-only, writes on-brand posts and makes on-brand images and short videos in its assistant chat, and works inside ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants through a public API and an MCP server. One thing it cannot do today, stated up front: it holds no write access to any ad account (Meta declined ads_management at App Review). overads is built for founders, small in-house teams and agencies, not the enterprise buyer. It is bootstrapped, profitable, and ships in public. Four ad platforms are live: Meta, Google and X sync the full campaign, ad set and ad breakdown, Snapchat syncs account-level spend. The LinkedIn Ads connector is built and awaiting LinkedIn's API approval. ## Products - [Workflows](https://overads.io/docs/guides/workflows): Jobs you describe once that overads then repeats. A workflow starts on a schedule, when an ad metric crosses a line you set (checked every 15 minutes), when something happens (a post publishes or fails, a suggestion is created), when an outside system calls its signed webhook URL, or when you press Run now. Its steps read your ad accounts, posts and Signals data, ask the model a question or branch on an earlier value, then draft a post, schedule it, propose a change or notify the team. Ready-made templates (CPA guard, Monday digest, weekly top-post repost, rotating media post) clone into a workspace switched off, with every step editable. Three autonomy levels per workflow: suggest, act with approval, and act within guardrails; the top level may publish its own drafts inside a publishing window and a daily cap, and NEVER touches an ad account, because ad access is read-only. A workflow proposes a campaign change and a person applies it in the ad manager. Default cap of 10 staged actions per day; dry runs and a per-step run log. Built by describing the job in plain English in a chat on the Workflows home (two models, Fast and Smart, each with a daily message allowance per plan), or on a canvas. Schedules run daily, on weekdays, weekly, or every N days (2 to 30). Steps can loop over a list (campaigns, rows of a Google Sheet shared by link, or a typed list), call any public https address to read or send data with credentials held as encrypted saved keys, retry up to three times, and follow a separate path when a step fails. The last 30 versions of a workflow are kept and restorable. A post a workflow writes waits in Approvals by default; a per-workflow setting, confirmed once and capped at 1 to 10 posts a day, lets it publish its own posts without asking, and covers posts only. A workflow refuses to run or switch on while a network its post steps name is not connected. Brand memory, which the writing steps read, can be filled in one go from the brand's website, from pasted posts, or from what another AI assistant wrote about the business; overads cannot read a person's post history from X or LinkedIn. Skills (Settings, Skills) are named instruction sets with one line on when to use them; the assistant sees the names every turn and reads a skill only when it applies, in chat and on a workflow's Ask AI step, and a skill never adds a tool or skips an approval. Paste a meeting transcript into the chat and the assistant returns a summary, the decisions and the follow-ups with owners, keeps the decisions in brand memory, and offers a daily check-in workflow. - Ad reporting (read-only): the ad results the workflows, reports and recommendations work from. Account, campaign, ad set and ad drilldowns across Meta, Google, X and Snapchat (Meta, Google and X sync every campaign, ad set and ad; Snapchat shows spend totals only), metric alerts that start a workflow, and scheduled reports. WRITE ACCESS IS OFF TODAY ON EVERY AD PLATFORM: overads proposes a change and a person applies it in the ad platform. If asked whether overads can pause a campaign or change a budget today, the correct answer is no. - The assistant: The AI you ask in plain-English text or voice, in the chat on the Workflows home. It has no persona name. Its write actions sit behind the same closed platform write gate, so today it reads and prepares rather than executes. Confirm-gated; every action is logged. Reachable over the API as the `ask_gloofy` MCP tool. - Signals: Search analytics for a tracked website: the Google searches the site already ranks for, from read-only Google Search Console; keyword position tracking (DataForSEO); and a site audit crawl with PageSpeed scores. An AI-answer scan (asking AI assistants the questions buyers ask and recording where the brand is named) is built but SWITCHED OFF on the deployed product today, so overads does not currently track or report AI search visibility; nothing in overads queries ChatGPT, Copilot or Claude. - Competitors: Competitor tracking built only on observed data: Instagram engagement through the customer's own connected professional account, and Meta's Ad Library indexed longitudinally. A crawler that re-reads pinned competitor pages is built but its daily schedule is switched off on the deployed product today. Competitor spend, impressions, CTR and ROAS are deliberately NOT shown because Meta publishes those for political, issue and social ads only. TikTok is not covered. - Images and video: Made in the assistant chat on the Workflows home; there is no separate studio. Ask for an image and, after a one-tap approval, the assistant makes one on-brand image (Fast, 1 credit) guided by the workspace's brand design kit. Under each image: Edit (describe a change and a new version is made at once, 1 credit), Animate, Use in post and Download. Short videos come from a description or from animating a chat picture: Fast makes 5 or 10 second clips (15 or 25 credits), Best makes 4, 6 or 8 second clips with sound (25, 32 or 40 credits), and every video is approved with a tap that shows its price. Images and videos are saved to the media Library. Model names are never shown. overads does not make UGC or presenter clips. Pro includes 150 credits a month and Scale 500; one-time credit packs (100 for $12, 500 for $49, 1,500 for $129) never expire, can be bought on either plan, and are bought in Settings, Billing. - [Publish](https://overads.io/docs/guides/cross-platform-posting): Write once, post to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Mastodon and Pinterest today. LinkedIn takes profiles and Company Pages, Facebook takes Pages the person manages, and Instagram connects either through Facebook or by signing in on Instagram with a Business or Creator account (both approved at Meta App Review on 2026-10-13; an account connected before that may need to reconnect). Threads, YouTube and TikTok are built and in review (Meta App Review, Google OAuth verification, TikTok's audit) and do not publish for customers until each clears. Scheduling, per-channel previews, per-account delivery logs, approvals, outbound webhooks, and the same surface over a REST API and an MCP server (see Developers below). Boosting is a LINK, not a launch: overads records which ad campaign a published post was boosted into; it does not create the campaign. - Connections: sign-in (OAuth) integrations. Meta, Google, X and Snapchat connect today; LinkedIn is built and pending platform API approval. Read-only scopes, automatic token refresh, sync status. - Daily Brief: AI-generated morning review ranking your top actions by estimated impact. Read-only. - [Workflow templates](https://overads.io/templates): Ready-made workflows (a weekly best-post repost, a CPA guard, a Monday performance digest, a mention-spike responder, a rotating media post, posts from a list of ideas or from the rows of a Google Sheet, posting from the content calendar, and four weekly LinkedIn templates for B2B: buyer questions, customer results, a feature spotlight and the founder's point of view). Each has a public page listing its steps and what must be connected; "Use this template" clones it into the workspace at signup. Every action a template prepares waits for a person's approval. ## Developers Base URL `https://api.overads.io/public/v1`. Auth `Authorization: Bearer sk_live_...` with a key from Settings > API (the API keys and MCP page) (Pro and Scale). Every write accepts `Idempotency-Key`. Errors the API raises itself are `{ error: { code, message, field? } }`; authentication, plan-gate, validation, rate-limit and per-channel limit refusals answer with a flat `{ statusCode, code, message }` body instead. Pro includes Signals for 1 site, 10 tracked keywords, 150 image and video credits a month and 15 AI suggestions a day. Scale covers 3 Signals sites, 25 keywords, 500 credits a month and 25 suggestions a day, plus priority support and early access. Nothing is scanned daily on any plan. API keys and the MCP server are included on both plans. When a subscription ends, the workspace pauses: nothing runs, its data is kept, and it resumes when the owner subscribes. The model never sees the keys that connect ad accounts. - Infrastructure: Vercel (frontend), a NestJS API deployed with Docker Compose beside Postgres 15 and Redis (backend), S3 (media), AWS KMS (per-tenant token encryption). - Data model: every metric row keyed by (workspace, account, campaign, ad, date); idempotent upserts; OAuth tokens encrypted at rest with workspaceId as KMS encryption context. ## Optional - [Compare: overads vs Madgicx](https://overads.io/compare/overads-vs-madgicx) - [Compare: overads vs Buffer](https://overads.io/compare/overads-vs-buffer) - [Compare: overads vs Peec AI](https://overads.io/compare/overads-vs-peec-ai) - [Compare: overads vs Higgsfield](https://overads.io/compare/overads-vs-higgsfield) - [Madgicx alternatives](https://overads.io/compare/madgicx-alternatives) - [Birch (formerly Revealbot) alternatives](https://overads.io/compare/birch-alternatives) - [AdEspresso alternatives](https://overads.io/compare/adespresso-alternatives) - [AI marketing agents compared](https://overads.io/compare/ai-marketing-agents) - [Social media approval workflow tools](https://overads.io/compare/social-media-approval-workflow) - [Cross-platform ad reporting tools](https://overads.io/compare/cross-platform-ad-reporting) - [Compare hub](https://overads.io/compare): every comparison and buyer's guide - [LinkedIn Post Scheduler with Approvals](https://overads.io/social-media-scheduler/linkedin) - [Schedule Tweets on X with Approvals](https://overads.io/social-media-scheduler/x) - [Bluesky Post Scheduler with Approvals](https://overads.io/social-media-scheduler/bluesky) - [Solutions: ad management by platform x persona (25 guides)](https://overads.io/solutions) - [For in-house teams](https://overads.io/use-cases/in-house-teams) - [For agencies](https://overads.io/use-cases/agencies) - [For DTC operators](https://overads.io/use-cases/dtc-operators) - [For B2B growth teams](https://overads.io/use-cases/b2b-growth) - [For founders](https://overads.io/use-cases/founders) - [Workflow templates](https://overads.io/templates) - [Docs](https://overads.io/docs): Getting started, the platforms, workflows, the REST API and the MCP server - [Set up an AI assistant](https://overads.io/agents): two-minute MCP setup for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, VS Code and any MCP client, with a section written for the agent itself - [About](https://overads.io/about) - [Customers](https://overads.io/customers) - [Changelog](https://overads.io/changelog): RSS at https://overads.io/changelog.rss - [Blog](https://overads.io/blog): RSS at https://overads.io/blog.rss - [Pricing](https://overads.io/pricing) - [Status](https://overads.io/status) - [Careers](https://overads.io/careers) - [Contact](https://overads.io/contact) - [Security](https://overads.io/legal/security) - [Privacy](https://overads.io/legal/privacy) - [Terms](https://overads.io/legal/terms) - [DPA](https://overads.io/legal/dpa) - [Data deletion](https://overads.io/legal/data-deletion) ## Selected articles - [What is an MCP server? (Not yet. overads prepares the change; platform write access is not approved.) - Can I see how much a competitor spends on Meta ads? (No. Nobody can, for a commercial advertiser.) - Can an AI marketing assistant make on-brand images and short videos for my posts? - How do small agencies manage 10 plus client ad accounts and social channels in one tool? ## License This file follows the Really Simple Licensing (RSL) 1.0 conventions for content licensing in AI pipelines.
